How we make money

The one place we take a percentage

Video consultations, and only video.

If a patient pays you at your clinic, we handle none of that money and take none of it. There is no per-booking fee and no gateway margin, because there is no gateway — the transaction never touches us.

A video consultation at ₹1,000
To the doctor 88%₹880
Payment gateway keeps 2%₹20
Drapto keeps, after the gateway ₹100
Platform fee, all in 12%

The gateway’s cut comes out of the twelve per cent rather than on top of it, so a doctor sees one number they can predict rather than a deduction to reconcile. Money is held fourteen days before release — that window is what makes a refund possible without taking it back from somebody already paid.

Where Drapto takes a percentage, and where it does not Three revenue paths. A consultation paid at the clinic: the money never touches Drapto, and Drapto takes nothing. A video consultation: Drapto takes twelve per cent, and the payment gateway's cut comes out of that twelve rather than on top of it, so the doctor receives eighty-eight per cent. Money is held fourteen days before release so a refund is possible without taking it back from someone already paid. The hospital product: billed as a subscription by bed band, with no share of any consultation. The appointment system, patient record and clinic page are free permanently. Paid at your clinic Patient pays the clinic cash, card, UPI Drapto takes 0 Doctor keeps 100% never touches us Video consultation Patient pays online held 14 days, then released 12% platform fee Doctor receives 88% one predictable number Gateway cut comes out of the 12% Hospital product Subscription by bed band all taxes included no share of any visit Revenue integrity the half a patient never sees Free, permanently Appointment system Patient record Clinic page No per-booking fee Never, at any price Ranking or placement Promotion A share of an in-person visit Patient data, in any form

The filled block is the only place a percentage is taken. Illustrative of the fee structure, not of any clinic’s volumes.

Why video and not the rest

A consultation in your own clinic is something you deliver and we have no part in. A video consultation runs on a room we provide, a connection we maintain and a payment rail we carry the risk on. Charging for the second and not the first is the only version of this we can defend, so it is the only version we offer.

GST is worth stating plainly: a consultation by an authorised practitioner is generally exempt, and our platform fee is a taxable service. Those are two different treatments inside one transaction, which is why they appear as separate lines rather than one netted figure. Whether your clinic needs a tax invoice raised on the platform fee depends on your registration — ask your accountant rather than us.

  • Hospitals that bill insurers pay for the revenue integrity product, by bed band.
  • The appointment system, the patient record and the clinic page are free forever.
  • We never take a share of an in-person consultation.
  • We never charge per booking.
  • We never sell ranking, placement or promotion.
  • We never sell patient data, in any form, to anybody.
Why this page exists

Every one of those lines is a thing a marketplace does. Stating them here means you can hold us to them, and a change would be visible.

We would rather you checked.

How we are paid, what we will not build, and the reasons to be suspicious — all written down.
