Company
Reasons to be suspicious of us.
Everything else on this site argues for Drapto. This page argues against it, because you are going to think these things anyway and a company that pretends otherwise is telling you something about itself.
We have no customers to name.
Not one. No logos, no case studies with a hospital’s name on them, no testimonial from a medical director. Anybody who has been selling healthcare software for two years has those, and we do not.
What that should make you worry about
“Nobody has stress-tested this.”
Fair. The claim scoring has been run against synthetic claims and our own test data, not against a year of a real hospital’s settlements. The first hospital to use it will find things we did not.
How to protect yourself: bring twenty claims you already know the outcome of. If our engine cannot explain deductions you can already see, do not go further.
“They might not exist in a year.”
Also fair. One founder, no outside capital. If we stopped tomorrow you would need somewhere to put your records.
How to protect yourself: read how to leave before you arrive. Your data exports in open formats, on demand, without asking us.
“Free forever is a bait.”
It is the oldest move in software: give it away, wait for dependence, start charging. You have seen it happen and you are right to expect it.
How to protect yourself: the free tier is in writing in the terms, and the reason it can stay free is on how we make money. If the reasoning does not hold up, the promise will not either.
What we could have done instead
What most early companies do here
- Invent a customer and call them “a leading hospital in North India”
- Put a stock photograph of a doctor next to a quote nobody said
- Say “trusted by hospitals across India” and count the demos
- Claim a recovery percentage that no one can check
What is on this site instead
- No named customer, because there is not one yet
- No testimonial, invented or otherwise
- No recovery percentage, anywhere
- Arithmetic you can check against your own claims
Every number on this site is either your own figure, or arithmetic you can redo yourself. That is a deliberately smaller claim than our competitors make, and it is the only kind we can stand behind at this stage.
What we would ask, in your position
We will answer all six on a call, in that order, without a slide deck. If any answer is unsatisfying, that is useful information and you should act on it.
The one thing that is not a risk
Trying it costs nothing and commits nothing. The patient-facing half is free permanently, there is no card and no contract, and the claim audit is an hour of our time on claims you already have. The worst outcome is that you learn what your deductions look like and use somebody else to fix them.
We would rather you checked.
How we are paid, what we will not build, and the reasons to be suspicious — all written down.
