Walk-ins and the queue

A walk-in is added to the session rather than to a slot. The book keeps the booked patients’ times and shows the walk-in as an insertion, so you can see what it cost.

  • The desk sees the knock-on: who now waits longer, and by how much.
  • Booked patients are not silently moved.
  • If the session is already running late, the screen says so before the walk-in is added.
