Hospital management software · India
Hospital management software that protects the revenue, not just the record.
Most HMS products admit, bill and discharge. Drapto runs the layer around them — intake, rounds, discharge coding, labs, pharmacy, NABH evidence and the rules every TPA and scheme applies — next to the HIS you already have.
Room cap breached at admission
Pre-auth clock past 18 hours
Package plus components billed
Code in notes, absent from bill
Illustration with sample figures from the Drapto test workspace.
An HMS records what happened. Drapto changes what gets paid.
What it covers
Everything a hospital management system in India has to handle.
Named after the work, not the org chart. Every module writes to the same patient record, so a deduction risk raised at the desk is still there at discharge.
Intake & eligibility
Booking, arrival, walk-in queue and insurance eligibility checked before the patient is admitted. ABHA linked at the desk.
Explore →Chart & coding
Consultation notes and ICD-10 coding from a deterministic engine — offline, about a millisecond, not generative AI.
Explore →Rounds & discharge
Inpatient rounds, handover and a discharge summary coded before it leaves the ward.
Explore →Labs
Results ordered inside the consultation, with age- and sex-specific ranges, and no result closed until somebody reads it.
Explore →Pharmacy
One drug list shared with the doctor, quantities computed from the course, oldest expiry first.
Explore →Revenue integrity
Room-cap proportionate deduction modelled at admission, pre-auth clocks watched, settlement advice read line by line.
Explore →Empanelment & TPAs
Nine payers, nine sets of rules — tariffs, packages and query windows kept per contract.
Explore →NABH evidence
Registers, equipment schedules and audits kept from the work you already do. Gaps shown as gaps, not as a score.
Explore →Nadi
Answers from your own workspace data across claims, coding, compliance and equipment — on your own AI key.

Buying an HMS in India
Eight questions to ask any vendor — us included.
Where does the data live, and how do we take it out?
Ask for the export format in writing before you sign. A full export on demand, in open formats, is the only real exit clause.
Does it work offline?
Indian hospitals lose connectivity. A cloud-only HMS stops the front desk when the line drops; ask what happens at 2am in a power cut.
When does it catch a deduction — admission or settlement?
Six of the nine ways a payer reduces a claim are decided before discharge. A claims module that starts at submission is already late.
How does it handle room-rent caps?
Ask the vendor to price a one-category upgrade on a sample claim. If they cannot show the proportionate deduction, the software cannot either.
Is ABDM integration live, or on a roadmap?
Ask to see ABHA linked at the desk and a validated FHIR R4 bundle, not a slide.
What does NABH support actually mean?
Templates are not evidence. Ask whether registers fill from daily work and whether it shows the standards with no records.
How is it priced over five years?
Add licence, AMC, per-user seats, SMS packs and implementation. Then ask what changes at renewal.
Who implements it, and how long does it take?
Ask for a dated go-live plan with named steps. Weeks, not quarters, for a single hospital.
Who runs it
Sized to the hospital in front of us.
Nursing homes
TPA and scheme claims without a billing team the size of the problem. Room caps and pre-auth clocks watched for you.
Explore →Multi-specialty hospitals
Revenue integrity, NABH evidence and a corporate panel on one record, next to the HIS you already run.
Explore →Multi-branch chains
One business, six addresses: leakage by branch, contracts by payer, one operating picture for leadership.

Questions
Asked before every demo.
Is Drapto a hospital management software (HMS)?
Drapto covers the clinical and revenue side of hospital management — intake, the chart, wards and rounds, discharge coding, labs, pharmacy, NABH evidence, ABDM and insurer rules. Most hospitals keep their existing HIS for billing and admissions and run Drapto alongside it; Drapto imports from its exports.
Do we have to replace our current HIS or HMS?
No. Drapto is built to sit next to the HIS you already run. Billing and admissions stay where they are; Drapto reads what it needs and adds the layer the HIS does not do — deductions caught at admission, settlement advice read line by line, NABH registers kept from daily work.
How is Drapto priced for hospitals?
By written proposal after a demo, sized to beds, branches and modules, billed annually in rupees, with 18% GST extra. There is no free plan and no public price list. We never take a share of collections.
Can it run on our own server?
Yes. Drapto runs on a single machine in your server room and works through an internet outage, or we run it for you on Indian infrastructure. It is the same software either way — where it runs is a deployment decision, not a feature decision.
Does it support ABDM, ABHA and NHCX?
ABHA is linked at the front desk. Drapto generates and validates NHCX FHIR R4 claim bundles; transmission runs through your own NHA onboarding, so we do not submit to NHCX on your behalf.
How long does implementation take?
Most hospitals are live in one to five weeks, depending on branches, the payers you bill and how much history you want imported.
Is it suitable for a small hospital or nursing home?
Yes. A 20-bed nursing home that bills TPAs loses money in the same places a 300-bed hospital does — room caps, pre-authorisation clocks and consumables. The proposal is sized to beds, so a small hospital is not paying for a group’s scale.
