Reading a settlement advice

An advice tells you what was billed, what was allowed and what was deducted. It rarely tells you why in a form you can act on.

  • Find the head with the largest cut first.
  • Check the room category line before anything else. It usually drives the rest.
  • A deduction described only as “policy terms” needs a query, not an acceptance.
  • Compare the allowed rate against the tariff version you billed under, not the current one.
