Patient balances and ageing
- Balances age in the usual buckets: 0–30, 31–60, 61–90 and over 90 days.
- A balance after a settlement — the co-pay or the disallowed portion — is separated from a balance the patient always owed, because they are different conversations.
- Statements can be sent by email. There is no automatic dunning; who to chase and how hard is a clinic’s decision.
